International Information Protection Day

Every year on November 30, the world celebrates an international holiday – Information Protection Day. The event was founded by the Computer Hardware Association in 1988 in the USA. The reason was the large epidemic of a computer worm (a virus created by Robert Morris) recorded for the first time in the same year, which forced specialists to think about ensuring information protection.

The purpose of such an International Day is to draw the attention of ordinary users and software manufacturers to the problem of security, to emphasize the need for protection. Various thematic conferences are usually organized before November 30, which include the topic of awareness (for example, having anti-virus programs, a firewall, a strong password on your equipment, etc.; caution in the use and distribution of personal information on the Internet).
