On October 2, the world celebrates the International Day of the Social Pedagogue. It was officially founded in 2009 at the International Conference of Social Educators in Copenhagen.

The issue of education of problem children and adolescents is one of the most important among teachers, because each of them requires a special approach. Timely detection of the problem greatly facilitates learning and gives a positive result.

Today, all over the world there are millions of famous and successful people who were once troubled teenagers. Thanks to the help of social pedagogues, they received a good education and were able to achieve success.

Social pedagogues constantly cooperate with psychologists. In educational institutions of Ukraine, these specialists together make up the psychological service of education. The main tasks of a social pedagogue are preventive, explanatory, corrective work, ensuring the health of children studying at the institution, including physical, mental, and social.
