A day late

On September 5, people who almost never show up on time can afford to do so almost legally. After all, in the middle of the last century, this date was declared National in the USA A day of lateness. The idea was picked up in other countries.

There are many recommendations on how to fight procrastination and train yourself to be punctual. But it is quite difficult, because for this you need to constantly work on yourself, set a goal and take steps towards it every day. Therefore, some people took a different path. Accepting as a given that punctuality and timely completion of the task is not their strong point, they decided to turn this disadvantage into a virtue. Thus, in 1956, the Club of Procrastinators appeared. Its founders initiated the introduction of the Day of Tardies.

Of course, it should not be assumed that on this day planes or trains will be waiting for all those who are late. Even a strict boss will not pat him on the head for such a “legitimate” violation of discipline. But everyone can afford to stop for a few minutes to admire the beauty of the surrounding space, to hear the harmony even in the noise of the city, to play with a child or a pet instead of the hustle and bustle.
