On November 4, Ukraine celebrates a professional holiday – the Day of the traffic controller.

The well-known black and white stick was developed in 1939. Such a combination of shades was not chosen by chance – the rod of the regulator is clearly visible in the dark.

A traffic controller is an authorized person who controls traffic using special signals. The regulator works in special clothes or must have identification marks and equipment.

Road users must clearly know and understand the traffic controller’s signals established by the Rules. Police representatives who must act within the scope of their official duties can act as regulators. Traffic regulation ensures the safety of all participants – vehicle drivers, passengers and pedestrians. The professional holiday was created to remind people about the importance of the work of regulators.
