World Leasing Day is celebrated on November 9 by all leasing industry professionals. The founder of the holiday is the Lithuanian aviation leasing company AviaAM Leasing, so representatives of the aviation industry were the first to celebrate the event.

Global Leasing Day was founded in 2017. The purpose of the event is to connect all people whose professional activity is related to leasing (long-term lease of assets with subsequent purchase). Currently, brokerage companies, banks, automobile corporations, and foundations take part in the annual celebrations.

More than 6 million people work in the leasing finance business. These are pilots, programmers, accountants, managers and more. The initiative of the Lithuanian company was supported in various countries of the world, because long-term lease contracts are signed in the fields of transport, medicine, real estate, production, trade.
