On this day, meetings with doctors and psychologists are held with the aim of increasing global awareness of eating disorders as a disease that affects people of different genders, nationalities, religions and ages. The danger of disorders is that they lead to somatic diseases – from problems with the digestive system to heart attacks and strokes.
