World Computer Literacy Day

Every year on the second day of December, humanity celebrates World Computer Literacy Day (World Computer Literacy Day). The event was first held in 2001 in India. One of the capital’s IT companies decided in this way to celebrate two decades of its existence and to respond to the results of a study of the level of digital awareness, which showed that men are active users of computer technology in the world. Therefore, the goal of the company’s specialists was to encourage women and children of the country to learn the basics of digital literacy. Later, the holiday gained popularity outside the country.

Thanks to the rapid development of information technologies and the digital revolution, computers firmly entered human life and radically changed it. Recently, computer literacy is an important condition for employment and career growth.

Not all countries have adequate computer skills. The digital divide separates the regions of Africa, Asia and South America from technologically advanced countries and suppresses their economic development.

Goal World Computer Literacy Day – free access to digital literacy training, encouraging people to use computers effectively and global computer awareness.
