World Anti-Trafficking Day

An important event is celebrated on July 30 every year – World Anti-Trafficking Day. This date was initiated by the United Nations on December 18, 2013.

The purpose of World Anti-Trafficking Day

The purpose of this event is to attract attention and raise awareness of humanity about this acute problem, to involve the authorities in combating human trafficking.

From 1991 to the present time, about 260,000 Ukrainians were exploited. Most often, victims of criminals are women and girls. The problem of human trafficking is gaining momentum all over the planet, victimizing more than 21 million people a year.


To avoid falling into the hands of slave traders, follow these rules

  • Keep your own documents with you.
  • When traveling abroad, find the contacts of Ukrainian embassies.
  • Prepare ways for relatives or friends to contact you.
  • Check questionable information with a lawyer.
