Every year, in the last month of each season, the world celebrates Restaurant Day (autumn – November). The celebration takes place on the third Saturday.

The idea of ​​creating Restaurant Day appeared in 2011 in Finland: friends dreamed of opening their own restaurant, but lack of funds and bureaucracy prevented them, then they proposed an initiative that was quickly picked up and spread by Facebook.

The point is to invite everyone who wants to open their own coffee shop or bar for one day. Such a holiday won the hearts of street food fans – Restaurant Day is actively celebrated in Japan, Italy, Portugal, the USA, Germany, Australia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and other countries. On this day, the owners of one-day restaurants can create them anywhere. Festival participants compete with each other, coming up with original names, menus and locations.
