Philippine Independence Day
June 12 every year Philippines celebrate the holiday of their own independence, because it was on this day in 1898 that the republic received the desired freedom from Spain.
Philippines is an Asian island country in the Pacific Ocean with Manila as its capital, with more than 7,000 islands. The largest islands by area are Luzon and Mindanao, they occupy the lion’s share of the country’s area. Half of the republic is covered with forests, almost the entire territory is mountainous.
