International Day of Neutrality
Every year on December 12, the whole world celebrates the International Day of Neutrality. The holiday was launched by the United Nations on February 2, 2017. A variety of events are held to raise public awareness of this topic before Neutrality Day.
Neutrality is a position in which the state refuses to participate in hostilities. The policy of neutrality helps to strengthen peace and establish friendly and mutually beneficial relations between countries, calls for preventive diplomacy. The UN engages the world in resolving disputes by peaceful means and preventing conflicts for public international peace and security.
