European Civil Law Day

The European Civil Rights Day is celebrated on October 25 every year in some European countries. This holiday was officially approved on June 5, 2003 by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe together with the European Commission. Celebrating Civil Law Day aims to bring people closer to understanding and awareness of the justice system, civil rights and responsibilities. A special program for modeling legal situations has been developed for online users. With its help, you can get detailed information about your rights through various simulated situations and procedures.

According to the recommendation of the Council of Europe and the European Commission, the member states of the organization were asked to inform their citizens about the events taking place within the framework of the Civil Rights Day celebration. An interesting event of the holiday is the presentation of the European award “Crystal Scales of Justice”, which is awarded for innovative activities in the field of civil justice improvement.

During the celebration, EU member states hold open days in courts, organize theatrical performances with the reconstruction of court proceedings and television programs. All these measures are aimed at increasing the awareness of citizens of European countries about the work of justice bodies.
