Day of the city of Nova Kakhovka in Ukraine

Every year on the last Saturday of September Nova Kakhovka celebrates City Day. Founded in 1950, the city is located on the left bank of the Dnipro River and has a population of more than 45,000 people.

In 1952, the name was approved by the Verkhovna Rada. From that time, residents began to celebrate the holiday on the main square.

The viticulture festival is the main attribute of the holiday. Free tastings of various types of wine and concerts of the city’s bands create a real holiday.
