Every year on April 15, Ukraine celebrates a professional holiday – Day of criminal investigation workers. The date of the celebration was chosen in honor of the date of creation of the forensic and criminal investigation section in Ukraine, which took place on this day in 1919.

Criminal investigation is responsible for the investigation of serious criminal offenses. The work of employees of this service is extremely dangerous, responsible and difficult, because criminal investigation officers perform complex operations in order to find out the causes of the crime and identify the criminals themselves, as well as to prevent new criminal acts.
