What is kinetic sand?

The original kinetic sand is a plastic and magical sight that will not leave any child indifferent. The main difference of the toy is the absence of sticking to clothes and skin. The sand does not fly away and remains in the form that the child invented.

History of Kinetic Sand Day

The annual holiday is celebrated thanks to Spin Master, a leading company in the creation of various children’s toys.

To take part in the celebration, you need to send a photo or video from kinetic sand in any convenient social network. A mandatory condition is to mark the content with the hashtag #KineticSandDay.

The main thing about the holiday is the promotion of a safe and fun alternative to ordinary sand:

• Kinetic (living, intelligent) sand does not cause allergies and does not contain substances in which microbes can live.
• The basis of the material is ordinary quartz sand, the rest is a polydimethylsiloxane additive, which is used in the food and pharmaceutical industry and adds the necessary properties to the sand.
• Child psychologists use kinetic sand in classes to correct fears, anxiety and aggression.
