Day of cleaning the virtual desktop on the computer

October 21 is the Day of cleaning the virtual desktop on the computer. This holiday has an annual national character in Canada. National Virtual Desktop Cleaning Day was initiated by the Personal Computer Museum located in Brantford (Ontario, Canada). This measure is aimed at maintaining the cleanliness of the PC and the smooth functioning of the devices. The purpose of the celebration is to motivate personal computer users to devote their free time to organizing their own virtual space, namely:

  • archive old files;
  • create new folders and shortcuts;
  • move photos to a flash drive;
  • delete unnecessary letters;
  • set up the latest version of the anti-virus program, etc.

The organization of the virtual space simplifies the use of the PC. On this day, it is customary to share one’s own experience with those people who are not well versed in modern technologies, to offer help to elderly users.
