Autistic Pride and Dignity Day

An important event is celebrated on June 18 every year – Autistic Pride/Dignity Day. This date was started by the organization Aspies For Freedom in 2005.

What is autism?

Autistic brain disorders cause difficulties with socialization, perception and human behavior in general. But it has been proven that autistic people are more attentive to details, are good at loving and living a bright life.

The purpose of Autistic Pride and Dignity Day

Autistic Pride/Dignity Day has the goal of uniting people with autistic diseases, raising awareness of humanity about these disorders, destroying stereotypes that exist around autistic people.

Until June 18, events are being organized aimed at convincing autistic people that they are unique and that their peculiarity is not a disadvantage.
