World Singing Day

World Singing Day is held every year on the third Saturday of October. The founder of this holiday is musician Scott Johnson from Colorado. The celebration was held for the first time in 2012. The purpose of the holiday is to organize mass singing throughout the planet, which promotes general rapprochement, unity and harmony. Anyone can sing – a singer at heart or a celebrity.

There are studies that confirm that singing creates a strong bond between people. Singing together not only synchronizes voices, but also synchronizes heartbeats, quickly forms social relations. It is also known that singing:

  • Strengthens immunity.
  • Improves posture.
  • Trains the lungs.
  • Reduces stress.
  • Acts as a natural antidepressant.
  • Strengthens the throat and palate, which reduces snoring.
  • Develops communication skills.
  • Gives confidence.

The best way to participate in this celebration is to sing. You can also watch and share your favorite videos on social networks, watch a movie about singing, post a video of yourself singing your favorite songs with the hashtag #WorldSingingDay.
