Memorial day of the holy martyrs Onesiphorus and Porphyry

On November 22, believers celebrate the Day of Remembrance of the holy martyrs Onesiphorus and Porphyry. These men lived during the reign of the Roman emperor Diocletian. This wicked and cruel ruler shamed Christians. The holy martyrs Onesiphorus and Porphyry took upon themselves the severe torment of Christ. The men were mercilessly stoned, brutally tortured, and then set on fire. In the end, the martyrs were tied to horses and dragged across a rocky area. Torn and tortured martyrs gave their souls to God.

At night, the followers of the Christian faith took the mutilated bodies of Onesiphorus and Porphyry and buried them with honor in the village of Pangian. After the burial, various miracles and healings began to take place here. Christians still believe in the power of the holy relics, which are located in Macedonia under Mount Pangea. The feat of the saints is remembered and glorified by all representatives of the Christian faith.
