World sexual health day

Every year, September 4 is celebrated all over the world Sexual health day. This tradition was introduced in 2010 by the International Association for Sexual Health. The first celebration of the event took place under the slogan “Let’s talk about it!”, calling on humanity to destroy taboos around sexuality.

Although this holiday is not official, its main goal is to help society realize that sexual pleasure is one of the main rights of a person, which is important for his well-being and a full life. This goal was supported in 60 countries of the world.

Celebrating this holiday, people learn to be conscious of their own sexuality, to positively perceive views on sexual relations, which should be free of coercion and violence.

  • Teenagers should also be involved in the discussion, providing them with access to information depending on age groups.
  • Sexual health is not only the absence of diseases, but also the ability to love, as well as the ability to conceive and give birth to a healthy child, continuing the family.
