World Day of Science for Peace and Development
Every year on November 10, the international celebration of the World Science Day for Peace and Development (World Science Day for Peace and Development) takes place. It was decided to start such a holiday in 1999 at the World Scientific Conference in Budapest, but the official confirmation of the event took place in 2001 at the UNESCO general conference.
World Science Day has important missions: to inform society about the important role of science, to increase attention to scientific activity, to encourage the countries of the world to collectively use scientific achievements, to spread science for a better future, to use knowledge for the benefit of social development and peace, etc.
Many different events are organized on Science Day, which involve ordinary people from different walks of life to interesting knowledge in various fields. Scientists have a good opportunity to meet and communicate with each other, which has a positive effect on science as a whole.
