Since 2017, Ukraine commemorates August 2 the memory of officers and soldiers of the landing forces of different times and generationswho died defending their native lands from enemies.

The purpose of creating the Day of Remembrance of fallen paratroopers of different times and generations

This project was launched with the aim of perpetuating the memory of the fallen, popularizing their heroic deeds, which can become a model for every citizen of the country, to raise the fighting spirit of military personnel and to foster a patriotic spirit in the youth.

The Ukrainian people must remember that the paratroopers of the older generation, bravely and conscientiously fulfilling their duty, gave their lives for the peaceful future of the Motherland, thus inscribing their names in the history of Ukraine.

How do you spend this day?

On this day, requiem rallies dedicated to the event are held throughout the country, a memorial service is held, respect and military honors are paid to those who, with their courage and loyalty to the oath, shaped the glory of the landing forces of Ukraine, and “went to heaven” without returning from the battlefield.
