Tennis day
Every year on February 23, a sports holiday is celebrated – Tennis day.
Tennis is a type of sports game that consists in hitting a tennis ball (a small rubber ball) with a racket. You can play tennis both in pairs and against each other.
The game of tennis originated in the distant 14th century, in France. At that time, clergymen and nobles were actively interested in this sport. - The longest tennis match in history lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes, in which the Frenchman Nicolas Mayu and the American player John Isner met. The game started on June 22 and finally ended on June 24, 2010. John Isner won.
