International Day of Remembrance of Animals Killed by Humans
On November 6, every year, the International Day of Remembrance of Animals Killed by Humans is celebrated. Every year, up to 40 million animals on the planet die for the sake of fur, 100 million – from experiments when testing cosmetics, household products and medicines.
Many animals suffer from exploitation in the entertainment sphere (zoos, circuses, walks and photos with animals, dolphinariums, etc.), at the hands of poachers, during hunting. Defenseless animals are often euthanized in shelters without waiting for a loving owner. On November 6, it is customary to light candles as a sign of memory and mourning for those who did not deserve cruel treatment.
