Every year, February 6 is celebrated by all civilized humanity International day of intolerance to operations that mutilate the female genital organs. Such an important event was established by the United Nations on December 20, 2012, by adopting a resolution to establish this day. And already in 2014, the UN adopted a resolution to intensify efforts to completely eradicate operations that mutilate women.

All non-medical operations that change or mutilate female genitals are internationally recognized as a violation of women’s rights and an extreme form of gender discrimination. Similar practices are widespread in underdeveloped countries, primarily in 29 countries in Africa and the Middle East, but in America, Asia, Australia, Europe and New Zealand, this problem is also encountered. Currently, the UN is conducting a global fight against operations that mutilate female genitalia.
