World Salt Awareness Week
It is celebrated annually in the second week of March World Salt Awareness Week. In 2022, the celebration falls on March 7-13. The event was launched by the World Salt and Health Movement in 2008.
the purpose World Salt Awareness Week there is the involvement of society in reducing the use of salt in the diet in order to improve health. The event also serves as an appeal to food manufacturers and state authorities to give consumers the right to choose products with a reduced percentage of salt.
We remind you that the daily limit of salt is no more than 5 grams. A large consumption of salty dishes provokes fluid retention, which, as a result, increases blood pressure. Because of this, the risk of stroke and heart attack increases.
