International Day of Happiness

Every year on March 20, the world celebrates a young but important holiday – International Day of Happiness. The event was launched by the United Nations on June 28, 2012. The initiative to create the Day of Happiness came from Jaime Elaine in 2011, immediately noting that the day of the vernal equinox as a moment of renewal is very suitable for celebration.

The UN General Assembly established the celebration of the International Day of Happiness in order to remind government organizations that when determining indicators of the nation’s well-being, it is important to take into account the level of happiness, because exclusively economic indicators do not reflect reality.

International Day of Happiness aims to draw humanity’s attention to happiness and remind that the pursuit of happiness is the defining and inalienable desire of every person on the planet.

In his book “The Little Book of Luke. Secrets of the happiest people in the world” Mick Viking says:

Happiness is subjective. What matters is how you feel about your life. That is what matters. I think only you can judge whether you are happy or not.”

What can make us happier?

Scientists assure that the color yellow and green, the aroma of flowers, fresh air, travel, positive music, giving gifts, a favorite hobby and much more. Satisfaction with life increases immunity and improves health in general.
