Since according to the horoscope the sign of the free and independent is Aquarius, February was chosen as the month when it is necessary to celebrate cat day. Nowadays, various initiatives are organized to celebrate the day of cats, including photo exhibitions, conferences, debates, and, above all, collecting food and funds to help homeless furries.
Magical properties of cats
Italy is one of the main countries with the largest number of homeless cats (over 2.5 million), so it is not surprising that this holiday appeared in this country. cats and really worth our attention, because in the past they were compared to a kind of conductors between the human world and the afterlife and believed to have magical powers.
Such comparisons are not unfounded, because cats can really feel ultrasound, magnetic field fluctuations, atmospheric pressure and are able to predict events that are perceived by human senses only later. Turning to history, we can recall that in Egypt the cat was a real goddess – Bastet, the daughter of the sun god Ra. Anyone who injured a cat could be sentenced to death. So maybe we really underestimate our kitties and should honor them more often?
