International Day Against Dams (International Day of Rivers)

Every year on March 14, the world celebrates an important holiday for ecology – International Day Against Dams or International Rivers Day. The event was initiated by the American non-governmental organization “International River Network” in March 1997. More than 20 countries supported the movement against the dams.
