Every year on March 17, Ukraine celebrates a professional national holiday – Day of the mobilization worker (Day of Military Committees).

The event was launched on August 22, 2000. Initially, the date of the celebration was September 14, in honor of the reorganization of the mobilization department in 1993. In 2016, the day of the holiday was changed in connection with the first large-scale mobilization, which took place precisely on March 17 at the beginning of the Russian aggression (2014).

The purpose of the mobilization worker’s day is to express gratitude for important and responsible work – organizing mobilization, equipping troops, etc.

March 17 is not a holiday, but on this day the state authorities congratulate the workers and reward the best with prizes, diplomas, titles, awards, etc.
