Every year on the third Saturday of September, breeders and dog lovers celebrate Day of awareness about the care of puppies when breeding dogs. This holiday was started in order to spread knowledge about the maintenance, feeding, vaccination and other treatments of puppies and bitches.

Some breeders mate their dogs 2-3 times a year for money. This leads to rapid wear and tear of the female’s body and the appearance of weak offspring with developmental abnormalities. Also, sometimes not enough attention is paid to feeding the dog during pregnancy and lactation, which also negatively affects the health of the puppies.

The result of this negligent attitude is thousands of abandoned puppies that do not meet breed standards due to improper maintenance and care.

Therefore, on this day, animal lovers and veterinarians hold lectures and also write posts on social networks about the responsibility and constant increase of awareness of dog owners regarding the breeding of their wards.
