Pharmacist Day (Apothecary Day)

Pharmacist Day is celebrated on the third Tuesday of October. The proposal to celebrate Pharmacist’s Day was put forward and approved in 2015. The celebration is supported by the American Association of Pharmacy Technicians (AAPT).

There are many pharmacies of one or another network in the cities. Every day, three million pharmacists interact with residents of different countries, providing assistance in the search, selection and use of medicines.

Pharmacists not only sell medicines, but also create and research them, check their quality, ensure proper storage and use, and develop instructions for use. They work in pharmacies, laboratories and pharmaceutical companies, advise clients. Pharmacists have knowledge in the field of chemistry and biology and acquire special skills in the process of professional training.
