World Octopus Day
October 8 is celebrated as World Octopus Day. The date for the celebration was not chosen by chance. The word “October” sounds like “october” in English, and “octopus” sounds like “octopus”. Both words come from the Latin octo – eight. In Ancient Rome, October was the eighth month in the calendar.
