International Day of Gynecological Health

September 10 is celebrated International Day of Gynecological Health. The celebration was started in 2001 by Kat Mezzilla. She was cured of vaginal cancer and decided to support women who faced similar problems. The main goal of the celebration is to increase people’s awareness of gynecological problems and draw the attention of the authorities of all countries to the high importance of women’s health for the future of the nation.

Women’s health is taking care of the body and appearance. Doctors around the world call for attention to this on the International Day of Gynecological Health. They pay attention to prevention and early diagnosis of gynecological diseases.

  • Very often, women in taking care of children, relatives and home forget to pay attention to their health. A large number of gynecological diseases occur without any symptoms. That is why doctors advise women to undergo a gynecological examination at least once a year.
