World Malaria Day

On April 25 every year we celebrate an important event – World Malaria Day. The solemn day was started by the World Health Organization in 2007. The date of the celebration was chosen in honor of Africa Malaria Day, which is celebrated on the same day.

Malaria is a severe infectious parasitic disease transmitted by female malaria mosquitoes. Symptoms: nausea, fever, headache, bloody diarrhea, anemia, etc. Malaria is mentioned even in ancient monuments.

purpose Malaria Day is to draw society’s attention to the need to take preventive measures against malaria, spread information about the curability of the disease, and involve humanity in solving the problem of the danger of malaria.


  • Every year, about 500 million people become infected with malaria, and more than a million of them die.
