World Hijab Day

Every year on February 1, the world celebrates a rather young holiday – Hijab Day. The initiator of such a day was a Muslim woman, Nazme Khan, whose family moved to America and, without renouncing the traditions of Islam, forced Nazme to wear a hijab (the main attribute of Muslim women’s clothing). Due to the ridicule of society, the girl decided to tell everyone about the hijab, and later offered an introduction Hijab Day in order to refute all the negative stereotypes that exist around this clothing. So in 2013, World Hijab Day appeared.

On February 1, every woman in the world can try to wear a hijab or simply try it on: handkerchiefs are distributed in public places, and there are videos with tying diagrams on the Internet.

According to the Koran, hijab is the protection and protection of the Most High, which symbolizes the submission of a Muslim woman.

It is known that World Hijab Day is actively celebrated in more than a hundred countries.
