Tools Day
National Day of honoring work tools, celebrated annually on March 11, originates in the United States. Traditionally, Americans visit their garages, workshops, sheds, pantries and attics to honor hand tools. Owners usually put tools in order: they clean, lubricate, replace old parts. It is also customary to update a set of tools – go to the store and choose new devices.
Tools are a part of our lives, because without them any homework would seem impossible. The term of their use can reach decades with a careful attitude. Hammer, screwdriver, chisel, tongs, chisel – all these things need care. Day of honoring work tools reminds of the need to pay attention to the condition of the devices – to sharpen them, clean and polish them well.
