Every year, the world celebrates April 12 International Day of Homeless Children (International Day for Street Children). The event was launched in 2011.
International Day of Homeless Children aims to draw humanity’s attention to the problem of ignoring children’s rights, raise awareness about the exploitation of child labor, ensure access to various services and provide development opportunities to homeless children.
On April 12, they are organizing various events aimed at disseminating information about violations of the rights of street children, organizing donations, etc.
There are about 150,000 homeless children in Ukraine, 96% of whom drink alcohol. 85,000 minors are at risk of HIV infection.
