This ancient plant existed 50 million years ago, and the cultivated rose is about 5 thousand years old. Now there are more than 300 species of the queen of flowers on the planet. The Netherlands is the number one seller of roses, but the best growers are the French. The oldest rose bush grows in Germany – it is more than a thousand years old.

Bulgaria is actively engaged in the production of rose oil, which is almost the most expensive in the world. To create a kilogram of such oil, as many as 3 tons of petals are needed.
