End of Lent
End of Lent – a significant holiday for the entire Christian world, which takes place on the Saturday before Easter. Great Lent is designed to properly prepare believers for the meeting of Christ’s Sunday – Easter. Strict restrictions begin forty days before the holiday. During this time, Christians must abstain from certain foods. First of all, these are meat products, milk, fish, eggs. They cannot be used both independently and as part of other dishes.
The restrictions of Great Lent concern not so much the material as the spiritual side. During this period, a person must rethink his life in order to give up bad habits. Entertainment activities are also prohibited. During this period, the church instructs people to devote as much time as possible to reading religious literature and prayers.
