World Giraffe Day
An important environmental event is celebrated annually on June 21 – World Giraffe Day. This date was established thanks to the Giraffe Conservation Foundation.
The purpose of World Giraffe Day
purpose Giraffe Day is drawing the attention of humanity to these animals, raising awareness about the problem of extinction of giraffes (the number has decreased by 40%), which is associated with poaching, the increase of agricultural territories and military actions. There are about 90,000 giraffes left on the planet.
