Body art day

Body Painting Day is held annually on July 8 – Body art day.

What is body art?

Bodyart – the art of painting a naked or almost naked human body. The founder and promoter of this holiday is an artist from New York, Andy Golub. As he himself tells in his interviews, Body Painting Day is a celebration of self-expression and art that makes the world a better place, giving people positive emotions and exceptional benefits. Thus, artists have the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, models get a chance to once again realize and be convinced of the beauty of their bodies, and people have the opportunity to enjoy art and creative works. On July 8, New York hosts a loud body art festival, where anyone can get a body painting.

Andy first publicly painted people at his non-profit event on the streets of New York in 2007. For this, models in thongs were invited, and already in 2011 completely naked models participated.

Born in America, this holiday gradually captures the whole world. On this day, body art festivals have been held in Amsterdam since 2015, and in Berlin since 2017.
