Every year on April 20, the world celebrates an important event – Volunteer Appreciation Day.

The volunteer movement originated in France in 1920, when young people organized the voluntary restoration of farms destroyed during the First World War. Other countries immediately became interested in volunteerism, and already in the 1990s it reached Ukraine. Volunteers are now actively helping the Ukrainian army.

the purpose Volunteer Appreciation Day is drawing society’s attention to volunteer activities, thanking volunteers for their courage, kindness, selflessness and sincere help to the army, people who found themselves in a difficult situation, children, animals.
