Every year, on October 4, Ukraine celebrates the Veterinary Service Day in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The purpose of this day is to recognize workers who are engaged in sanitary and epidemiological control, conduct quarantine measures when outbreaks of epizootic diseases are detected. The veterinary militia performs tasks related to the supervision of the sanitary condition in livestock farms, processing enterprises, the establishment of sources of dangerous infections and their localization, and the production of high-quality and safe animal products.
