World Allergy Day

July 8 is celebrated annually all over the world Allergy Day. This day is celebrated on the initiative of the World Organizations of Allergy and Immunopathology (WAO and WIPO). The main goal of implementation is to draw people’s attention to the actual problem of the spread of the disease and its prevention and treatment.

The term «allergy» appeared for the first time in 1906 thanks to the Austrian doctor Pirke. According to the WHO, allergies are spreading very rapidly. Even at the beginning of the XXI century, every tenth adult inhabitant of the planet and every fourth child suffered from this disease, in 2021 every third inhabitant of the planet suffers from allergies.

The importance of World Allergy Day

Educating society about this disease will help many to live full lives. After all, any symptom or manifestation of an allergy is a serious reason to consult a doctor in order to choose the right treatment regimen and prevent repeated manifestations of the disease.
