The purpose of Shark Awareness Day
Shark Awareness Day aims to draw humanity’s attention to these animals, improve awareness of the important role of fish for our planet, disprove myths about sharks as sea monsters, emphasize the need to preserve natural creations.
The threat of extinction
About a quarter of shark species are on the verge of extinction, the reason for this is humans. After all, man destroys more than 80 million sharks a year. The disappearance of these fish will cause an increase in the level of carbon dioxide in the water, destruction of reefs, total pollution of the seas and oceans, disruption of the food chain, floods, etc.
