Day of workers of the rocket and space industry of Ukraine
Every year on April 12, Ukraine celebrates a professional holiday – Day of workers of the rocket and space industry. The event was started by Leonid Kuchma on March 13, 1997.
The purpose of the holiday is to thank the workers of Ukrainian cosmonautics for their hard work in creating technology, conducting scientific research, etc. On April 12, the state authorities officially welcome professionals in this field. After all, it is Ukrainians who have the idea of interplanetary flights and the development of rocket theory.
The first Ukrainian cosmonaut is Leonid Kadenyuk, who entered space on November 19, 1997. But unmanned cosmonautics in Ukraine is much more developed.
