Mindfulness is a term in modern psychology that means the state of continuous tracking of current experiences, emotions and feelings, that is, focusing on the experience of the present moment, as much as possible without involving thoughts about the past or future.
This is especially relevant in wartime. For many of us today, the ability to be here and now, without hanging between the past and the future, is a superpower. This is what saves, gives strength and resources to fight, live, survive and help others.
It’s good, if all-roundness was developed in peacetime, it will be useful today. During stress and from a traumatic experience, the level of awareness decreases. Remind yourself and your loved ones about the importance of being here and now, gratefully accepting what is. This is the prevention of burnout.
Conscious behavior allows us to:
- reduce anxiety and stress levels
- to get out of traumatic situations with dignity
- reduce post-traumatic syndrome
- act and make decisions effectively
- increase the efficiency of any activity and work capacity
- avoid procrastination
- learn to concentrate without being distracted by obstacles or social networks
- appreciate the moment
- understand your feelings
- understand your reactions
- respond adequately to what is happening
- do not resort to “painkillers and sedatives” in the form of food, cigarettes, shopping and other addictions.
And in the end — to improve the quality of life!
