Meditation for World Peace or World Peace Hour
Traditionally, on the last day of the year in many countries of the world, a mass action is held – Meditation for world peaceor World Peace Hour.
For the first time, a global meditation was held around the world in October 1995, according to the idea of a doctor of the school of metaphysics, Barbara O’Guinn Condron from the American state of Missouri. The very next year, the mass event was moved to noon GMT on January 1. Subsequently, and to this day, the organizers of the peaceful assembly decided to celebrate the World Hour of Peace from 11:30 p.m. on December 31 to 12:30 on January 1.
Mass immersion in consciousness is organized for the sole purpose of stopping war and eradicating cruelty in all corners of the world.
During the hour of action, millions of participants of various faiths mentally strive to reach every heart and mind so that the whole world speaks the language of peace, love, forgiveness and mutual understanding.
Instructions for the simplest meditation (for beginners)
- Get comfortable (the pose doesn’t matter).
- Turn on calm, quiet music (if it doesn’t distract you).
- Close your eyes (not necessary, but easier).
- Focus on your breathing.
– Feel how the air enters the nose, further to the lungs.
– Then feel how the air comes out.
– Note that the air has become a little warmer.
Follow each breath like this. - Think only of breathing. Calmly get rid of all unnecessary thoughts. Do not be angry when they appear – it is inevitable.
- 10-15 minutes is enough for the first attempts. Set an alarm so you don’t have to worry about the time.
