International shawarma day

International shawarma day is an unofficial holiday celebrated worldwide since 2011. February 13 is considered the date of celebration of the day when you can taste shawarma without doubts.

It is believed that the founder of the shawarma holiday was Rudolph Foods, an American company specializing in the preparation of fast snacks.

This dish is considered the most popular snack in the world. Shawarma is a product of Arabic origin, prepared from lamb or pork, cut into thin pieces. The meat delicacy is processed on a sharp rotating spire and gradually fried. Shawarma is a street food, fast food, and is especially popular in the countries of the Levant, the Arabian Peninsula, and Egypt. But our compatriots, Europeans, Americans are not against tasting delicious meat in pita bread with added sauces and vegetables.
